The Problem

Mr D. recently bought a large bungalow in its own private grounds on a picturesque lane in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire.

The bungalow had been occupied by an elderly couple who had been unable to maintain the extensive grounds and buildings.

Within the bungalow’s grounds there were several impressive fir trees of great height. The firs are protected due to their age and so the bungalows Roof was heavily covered in Moss.

The Solution

Moss had formed on the rough edges of nearly every tile on this roof. With several different apex and elevations to negotiate, the Holmes Chapel bungalow took nearly three days to scrape:

Moss, moss & more Moss

After completing the Roof Scrape Revive Outdoor Cleaning had to deliver the client some bad news.

The moss had been left untreated for so long it had attacked and degraded the majority of the mortar on the east side of the bungalow.

Both the Ridge tiles and Hip Tiles were loose and the original mortar had all but crumbled to dust.
